Freeze frame from the latest Bush television ad being shown across the country (not just battle-ground states) This is the tv ad where the lady stares up at the stage and is crying and then camera pans to Bush's face with his eyes welling up with tears as he speaks and appears to be a speech produced in a television studio doesn't it?
This isn't the first time we've seen Bush's people enhance graphics/video of crowds etc.. But it's sick enough that he's using 9/11 again and again for political purposes akin to spitting in the face of everybody negatively affected by 9/11. Especially when you consider he let Osama get away and instead put all of our focus on attacking, invading and occupying Iraq which presented a fruit fly of a threat to us. It was so transparently obvious prior to the war that Iraq presented no threat to us.
Pic is just another example of Bush/Co. using our troops akin to Christmas wrapping paper etc.

Silenced by the President
By Trish Bowcock – October 16, 2004
A few weeks before my father died, he woke me in the wee hours of the morning. He needed to talk. He was worried about Attorney General John Ashcroft and the destruction of American civil liberties. I comforted my father, believing he was delusional from medications. I was wrong. I write this from my home in Jacksonville Oregon (population 2,226). President George W. Bush came here this week. The purpose of his visit was political. Southern Oregon has been deemed a "battle ground" area in the presidential race. John Kerry has made incredible inroads in this traditionally Republican stronghold. President Bush's campaign stop was an attempt to staunch the slide. (More..)

WASHINGTON (AP) Leading senators expressed concern Sunday about a report that the CIA has secretly moved as many as a dozen unidentified prisoners out of Iraq in the past six months, a possible violation of international treaties.
Sen. John McCain said interrogations can help extract crucial information from detainees on plans for attacks against Americans. But international law, including the Geneva Conventions, must be followed, he said.

DNC News: White House Continues to Mislead on Zarqawi
Oct 20, 2004
White House Continues to Mislead on Zarqawi
The White House, now in full spin mode, today claimed that the reason we are fighting in Iraq is because of terrorists like Zarqawi. What they fail to mention is that the White House was told Zarqawi was a threat before the war and had three separate opportunities to kill him but failed to do so. Moreover, because Zarqawi had no relationship with Saddam, his presence in Iraq now does not establish that Iraq was part of the war on terror before the invasion. The recent reports of Zarqawi's loyalty to Osama bin Laden prove once again that Bush took his eye off the real threat of terrorism and has served to make us less safe by emboldening the true threats. And isn't it interesting that Bush and Cheney both have oil backgrounds? Even though most Presidents and Veeps have their investments supposedly in a "blind trust"; meaning they don't actually know exactly where it is invested while in a blind trust, it is public knowledge that Cheney still gets deferred compensation from Halliburton through 2005 and it wouldn't surprise anybody if Bush actually had big investments in his supposed blind trust invested in oil co.'s. It is also public knowledge that Cheney still holds over 400,000 stock options in Halliburton.
They are previously both oil men. And oil men like oil as high in price as possible. It is definitely in Cheney's personal interest to have high priced oil and likely in Bush's personal interest as well. And it is definitely in the personal interests of many within their respective inner circles.
Could there possibly be a better way to force the price of crude upwards to all time highs (where it resides now) over a few years than by making the middle east as unstable as it's ever been in history? And it is no surprise I'm assuming that virtually all the contracts awarded after the start of the Iraq war (for the first six months approx.afterwards) went to co.'s close to the current administration and just so happened to be amongst the biggest donors to the republican G.W.Bush campaign. Big business salivated for this war. The media salivated for the Iraq war and Bush and Cheney and co. salivated for this war. None of it though had to do with actually dealing with an imminent threat or dealing with ridding Saddam of WMD. It was about contracts, returning favors, ratings, lies and deceit.
And isn't it interesting that to this day the Bush Administration cannot even give a proper accounting of where all the money allocated for the Iraq war has actually gone to date. Some congressmen have even suggested billions are missing when trying to account for where it's all gone. Where did it go? Why can't the administration account for where every penny has gone?

NDOL: Who's Weak on Nuclear Terrorism?
There he goes again. Citing the "possibility of terrorists ending up in the middle of one of our cities with deadlier weapons than have ever before been used against us," Cheney suggested Kerry doesn't understand the threat while George W. Bush does. "You have to get your mind around that concept" of nuclear terrorism, said the Veep.

Kerry Sorry for Remark About Cheney's Lesbian Child
Kerry Sorry for Remark About Cheney's Lesbian Child
(10-14-04) -- John Forbes Kerry, father of two heterosexual daughters, today apologized for referring to the sexual preference of Vice President Dick Cheney's daughter during last night's final presidential debate.
"There's nothing wrong with being one of God's homosexual children," said Mr. Kerry, an openly-heterosexual veteran of foreign war who is also a U.S. Senator, "And far be it from me to pry into the private life of Mr. Cheney's lesbian child, who is gay and a homosexual. People can choose whom they will love, and so I should not have mentioned that his daughter is a lesbian person, and not a heterosexual, but in fact a gay homosexual woman who is a lesbian with the last name Cheney."
Mr. Kerry said he would send a card to the vice president's daughter to fully express his regrets.
"I'm sure Hallmark has a nice collection of cards that say things like, 'I'm sorry I talked about your sexual preferences on national TV'," said Mr. Kerry. "But I really wasn't trying to remind conservatives that the vice president has a daughter who is not heterosexual, but rather a homosexual lesbian gay woman named Cheney."
Mr. Kerry's running mate, John Edwards, will reportedly issue an apology tomorrow for similar remarks he made during his debate with Mr. Cheney.

Bush Misleads On Flu Vaccine
President Bush has tried to avoid any responsibility for the flu vaccine shortage by making misleading statements. During the presidential debate last Wednesday, President Bush said the problem was that "we relied upon a company out of England."[1] That isn't true. Chiron Corp., the company whose vaccine plant was contaminated , is a California company - subject to regulation by the U.S. government - that operates a factory in England.[2]
During the debate, President Bush also said, "we took the right action and didn't allow contaminated medicine into our country."[3] That isn't true either. It was the British authorities who, after inspecting the plant, revoked the factory's license on October 5th.[4]
In June 2003, the United States Food and Drug Administration inspected the Chiron plant.[5] Initially, the FDA found that the plant was contaminated with bacteria but later announced, "the problems were corrected to their satisfaction," and allowed the plant to continue to operate.[6]

The most thorough coverage of this matter I've seen to date. Most people with at least half a brain already knew Bill O'Reilly {aka Mr. Spin} was one sick dude, but if O'Reilly actually said the statements the 22-page document allegedly claims he did, what is most interesting is what he says "Roger Ailes" of Fox does to people that "cross Fox NEWS CHANNEL". And O'Reilly claims that Bush and Cheney watch his back too?
The link above contains the 22-page complaint that the Fox female co-worker of Bill O'Reilly has filed with the Supreme Court of the State of New York.. (parental discretion is advised). The 22-page complaint is a real eye opener especially if the statements that O'Reilly allegedly has said are true.

When Vladimir Putin used illegal tactics to engineer the election of his handpicked subordinate, Ahmad Kadyrov as president of Chechnya last October, Western pundits were quick to condemn the election as a farce. Yet the same media talking heads have expressed little outrage at the series of equally farcical 'elections' organised by the Bush administration in the name of exporting democracy, be it to Afghanistan or Iraq.

Cheney's Become Emotionally Unstable After Kerry Compliments Their Daughter?
Click Here (at link to the left the Cheney's get incredibly upset over a compliment from Kerry)
It is amazing that the Cheney's are ripping Kerry apart for making a very heart-warming comment about their daughter who just so happens to be gay. Kerry was directly asked the question (Question #6 in the debate)
"Question 6: Do you believe homosexuality is a choice?"
And the part of Kerry's answer that bothered the Cheney's was this: -KERRY: "We're all God's children, Bob. And I think if you were to talk to Dick Cheney's daughter, who is a lesbian, she would tell you that she's being who she was, she's being who she was born as.
I think if you talk to anybody, it's not choice. I've met people who struggled with this for years, people who were in a marriage because they were living a sort of convention, and they struggled with it."
For complete transcript of final Presidential debate go to Click Here
-----------------------------------------------------------
If the Cheney's can become what appeared to be emotionally unstable after such a heart-warming comment from Kerry about their daughter one must wonder what they'd do if he ever actually insulted them. Proof that Cheney and his wife are mentally unstable? Or could this be proof that the Cheney's are embarrassed by their daughter's homosexuality? Or could it be simply that the NEO CONS can only come up with this to criticize Kerry about after he won the third and final debate? It must be frustrating for them to witness Kerry having in fact won every single debate and to see
Cheney lose to Edwards in their debate. The NEO CONS lost every single debate and proved in each and every debate why they are not fit to lead this country. Now the Cheneys and NEO CONS desperately lash out at Kerry for making a compliment about the Cheney's daughter. Too pathetic if you ask me.

The video proves that Bush wasn't concerned with finding Osama Bin Laden (the mastermind of 9/11), but Bush did consider the fruit fly of a threat that Saddam Hussein (Iraq) posed to us to be our number one priority for years now. Now over 1,000 of our troops have died and over 15,000 Iraqi Civilians have died to date over this war of Bush's that was based at it's very essence on lies and deceit.
And yet because the President didn't care about finding Osama Bin Laden (as the video at link above proves) the guy that caused 9/11 still roams this world. You could say Bush figuratively spit in the face of everybody negatively affected by 9/11 because he never seriously went after Osama Bin Laden and he figuratively spit in the face of every single troop of ours sent over to Iraq because he lied to every single one of them about why they were being sent there and put into harms way because of his lies and his deceit!

USATODAY.com - Plan to air divisive film raises questions (about Sinclair Broadcasting)
By David Lieberman, USA TODAY
NEW YORK — Wall Streeters, political activists and media critics Monday were trying to answer a perplexing question: Why would Sinclair Broadcasting CEO David Smith embroil himself in controversy by ordering his stations to air Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal— a documentary challenging Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry's Vietnam service — within days of the presidential election?
The decision annoyed investors. Sinclair's shares, which have lost about half their value in 2004, closed Monday at $7.38, down 12 cents. That's about as low as they've been since 1995.

Everything Counts (In Large Amounts)
The handshake seals the contract
From the contract there's no turning back
The turning point of a career
In a land of being insincere
The holiday was fun-packed
The contract, still intact
The grabbing hands grab all they can
All for themselves - after all
The grabbing hands grab all they can
All for themselves - after all
It's a competitive world
Everything counts in large amounts
The graph on the wall
Tells the story of it all
Picture it now see just how
The lies and deceit gained a little more power
Confidence - taken in
By a suntan and a grin
The grabbing hands grab all they can
All for themselves - after all
The grabbing hands grab all they can
All for themselves - after all
It's a competitive world
Everything counts in large amounts

Some Points To Ponder: Divided We Stand
10-07-04
By Joseph Ozworth
This country is so polarized at the moment. You cannot by definition be more polarized than 50/50. While we are close to that level of polarization, there is still a small percentage of the voting public undecided as we approach the election. These people will decide who occupies The White House next January.
What I find truly amazing and disturbing is a recurring theme I hear from many of these undecided people. I hear this again and again and the mantra goes like this...
"I don't like Bush or Kerry, but will probably vote for Bush because at least I know where he stands." They will then say something to the affect, "Perhaps Bush was wrong about WMD, but at least he's good at fighting terrorism". Or they'll say, "I don't like Kerry or Bush, but at least Bush is consistent."
Now to debunk these arguments....
We do know where Bush stands. He's for gutting our Constitution, our Bill of Rights and appears to have no/little regard for our civil rights. Also he is for fighting preemptive wars and it doesn't matter if they are based at their very essence on lies and deceit.
Bush is horrible at fighting terrorism and in fact let the very person responsible for masterminding 9-11 to not only get away, but to run free and doesn't even consider finding Osama Bin Laden to be a priority of America and it's documented previously in this blog that he has said so . The biggest breach of security in American history (9-11) in fact happened on George W. Bush's watch. And during the month prior to 9-11 Bush did in fact take what tied the longest vacation taken by any sitting President in American history when he took a 30-day vacation after being in office less than 3/4 of a year.
Bush is in fact growing terrorism massively with his style of fighting terrorism which is akin to pouring gasoline upon a fire to put it out. It's documented previously in this blog as well that Bush is growing terrorism. You cannot outrage the world (which Bush has) and shrink/reduce terrorism. Outrage is the primary ingredient which creates terrorism in my opinion.
Elements of terrorism have occurred since the beginning of recorded time. The argument Bush and his administration use to justify their agenda of an indefinite war on terrorism with the end result being a world where absolutely zero terrorism exists is a false theory in my opinion. The only possible way to end terrorism indefinitely would be within the context of a totalitarian state I fear and even then I doubt they could end terrorism indefinitely because within such a world there would still be people who are discontent and that would also be a prime ingredient that would allow terrorism to persist.
When our forefathers fought the British is it possible that the British considered our forefathers to be terrorists? When our forefathers were attempting to commit genocide on Native Americans couldn't it be argued by the Native American's that our forefathers were terrorists? Have not elements of terrorism existed since the beginning of recorded time?
Perhaps we could build a 50 ft. tall iron fence around the entire country? Would we be safe then? I'd rather live in a country that has elements of risk, but retain my freedom and keep our Constitution, Bill of Rights and civil rights intact. Sure we must do what we can to prevent terrorism at our borders and at our ports and at our airports, but we also must retain our sanity in doing so as well.
If George W. Bush and his 16-member cabinet of NEO CONS get another four years in office will they start chasing their very own shadows in the name of patriotism and safety? Or will we escalate the war on terrorism by chasing ghosts of terrorists as well?
Also with the additional powers the Federal Government and especially the President has with the Patriot Act one must ask how long it will be before we are informed that Al Qaeda has infiltrated various demographics and isn't just Islamic extremists anymore. Since Bush and his Administration have lied to the American public and the world repeatedly would they resort to someday calling anybody that disagreed with them to being a member of Al Qaeda? One must wonder.
Finally, when these undecided registered voters say, "I don't like Kerry or Bush, but at least Bush is consistent", I'll respond by saying that Bush has flip flopped as much as Kerry in the past. But for sake of argument lets just assume for a minute that Bush is consistent. Bush being consistently wrong is the worst reason of all for voting for Bush.
The middle east is as unstable as it's ever been directly because of George W. Bush's actions. How can making the middle east unstable possibly reduce terrorism? Perhaps that is why terrorism has been growing under Bush's watch?
It should also be noted that during Bush's non stop obsession with Iraq the last several years that not only has Osama Bin Laden been allowed to run free, but North Korea has gotten nuclear weapons on George W. Bush's watch and Bush has refused to give North Korea bilateral dialogue repeatedly even though they have requested it repeadedly as well as China's wishes for the U.S. to give North Korea dialogue. Wouldn't dialogue be better than completely ignoring North Korea as George W. Bush has which has also allowed them to build nuclear weapons on George W. Bush's watch?
And now as recently as early September 2004 we see Iran successfully test fire a ballistic missile potentially capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.
These are the type of events that happen when we have our priorities all out of whack. Instead Bush considered the fruit-fly of a threat that Iraq posed to us to be our number one priority the last several years. It was transparently obvious that Iraq was not an imminent threat to us prior to the beginning of the Iraq war. But, Bush and his cabinet repeated lies so frequently and so much that eventually people believed them.
What ever happened to the phrase, "United We Stand"? Why in the world would anybody reward the incumbent President with another four years after he has divided this country like no other President in American history has ever done before?
It's time for a President that can reunite us.
George W. Bush is not that man.

The last two people on the planet Earth to concede Iraq had no WMD (George W. Bush and Dick Cheney) finally cave in and admit they were wrong. Bush Insisted Once Again Last Night That "Saddam Refused To Disarm"
Last night once again Bush said that we had to go into Iraq because Saddam remained defiant and refused to disarm. Bush said the exact same thing at the Republican Convention as well and at many points in time the last year.
What amazes me is that nobody calls him to the carpet every time he says this.
How could Saddam refuse to disarm when he had no WMD to disarm? Also Saddam was 100% contained and was cooperating 100% with inspectors when Bush had them kicked out so he could invade/occupy Iraq. How can cooperating 100% with inspectors be equated to being defiant?
After Bush said the same thing at the GOP Convention I was surprised to see the media not even mention it and critique it afterwards. I was surprised the Dems didn't pick up on it either in their commentary afterwards.
Now once again I see nobody mentioning anything about the lie that went by once again out of Bush's mouth uncontested.
